The Russian Voice Radio (short form: RVR) is a Russian radio broadcaster.
Background[]
Russian Voice Radio is an international radio broadcaster that focuses primarily on news, current affairs and political developments inside Russia and neighbouring countries throughout Eastern Europe and the Green Sea region.
History[]
2009[]
On October 16th, 2009, a terrorist attack was carried out in the heart of the Russian capital, Moscow, by an unknown group of assailants. The bombing claimed the lives of fifty-three innocent civilians and up to two hundred people were mortally wounded.[1] Several sections of the Red Square were left in ruins, and parts of the St. Basil's Cathedral were damaged by the shockwaves of the explosion.

RVR interviewed multiple high-ranking officials close to the incident, including a spokesperson from the church who denounced the terrorists. However, no group had come forth to claim responsibility and the Kremlin had yet to issue their own statement regarding the attack.[2]
Nonetheless, Russian defence analysts were quick to lay the blame on the Chernarussian National Party, a fervently anti-Russian organisation based in the Green Sea region nation of Chernarus. The extremist group had already been accused of carrying out lynchings and inciting mob violence against dual citizens of Russian heritage in the country's northern provinces earlier in the week.

Furthermore, an anonymous official from the armed forces also blamed the U.S. Marine task force that was supporting the Chernarussian government's attempts to reassert its sovereignty in the province. The American presence, the official argued, was emboldening anti-Russian extremists to act out under the pretence of liberation.
RVR also quoted sources from several insiders within the Kremlin that the Russian president's patience was wearing thin, regarding the ongoing crisis in Chernarus. If the Americans and Chernarussians did not act quickly to contain the spread of extremism in the country, then the Russian government would step in to put a stop to the violence once and for all.[2]

RVR Russian Voice Radio. Over fifty people have been murdered and nearly five hundred injured in the blast that devastated the heart of the capital, Red Square in Moscow today. The death toll is almost certain to rise. The bombing also destroyed part of St. Basil's Cathedral, a spokesperson for the Church, who was uninjured, said this was "an indication that the terrorists who caused the explosion care as little for God or world heritage as they do for human life."
Although the Kremlin is understandably reluctant to accuse any particular group at this stage, the vast body of expert opinion supports the idea that the infamous NAPA terrorist organization is behind the terrible attack. NAPA made the headlines earlier this week in war-torn Chernarus for the torture and murder of Civilians in the North of that troubled country.
Earlier in this programme a high ranking Russian Ground Forces officer, who wishes to remain anonymous, told RVR "It has become clear that the Americans cannot control Chernarus. Their incompetence is destabilizing the region and we must act to restore the balance. It is our duty to both protect Russia, and to aid the people of Chernarus."
The President would not comment, but insiders tell us there is growing impatience at the Kremlin for direct action in our fracturing neighbor-state.
RVR will be back with more as the situation develops.[2]
Trivia[]
