The SIŁA Factory, alternately referred to as the SIŁA Arms Factory, is a military installation located in the semi-abandoned region of Nadbór, Livonia.
The SIŁA Arms Factory was once renowned for producing some of the world's finest sporting and hunting rifles.[1]
Much of SIŁA's workforce came from Nadbór and as such, both the city and SIŁA and were partially excluded from the region's slowly expanding military training area in the early 1990s.[2] However, it was shut down in 1995 due to structural issues with its foundation.[3]
In late 2035, the Livonian government reached an agreement with its NATO allies to have the "Electron" joint military exercises be hosted in the region on a biennial basis.[4] SIŁA was subsequently reactivated (to an extent) and is now designated as the SIŁA Factory Training Area.[5]
Facilities[]
Tactical operations centre[]
The TOC is located in the factory's courtyard. The senior officer in charge, usually a Major or a Colonel, directs all training operations from this improvised control centre.[6]
A supply container houses vital communications equipment and electronics. It uses a metal roof propped on sticks to provide shelter against Livonia's rainstorms.[7]
Additionally, an L-shaped wall of H-barrier blocks protect the TOC's occupants in the rare event that stray pieces of shrapnel somehow get dispersed close by.
Electronic warfare training area[]
The old office building next to the main factory structures is used as a training course for practicing Electronic Warfare (EW) tactics and usage of handheld jammer devices.
Drone control station[]
During active training exercises, the former guardhouse at the main entrance is utilised as a control station for UGVs and UAVs deployed on the field.[8]
A secondary outpost at grid 074-026, designated as Point Dakota, is specifically set up for controlling larger UCAVs.[9] An autonomous laser designator turret is often used to guide the drones into dropping their payloads onto specific targets via laser spots or GPS/INS.[10][11]

SPOILER ALERT
NOTE: This section contains spoilers from ArmA 3: Contact's 'First Contact' campaign.
In the non-canonical First Contact campaign, SIŁA's structural issues were revealed to have been caused by the presence of an alien rootcap which had been buried beneath the factory grounds for several centuries.[12]
