Scientist Clothes are uniforms worn by civilian scientists and CSAT researchers in ArmA 3.
Overview[]
One-piece suit designed specifically for use by civilian seismic researchers and CSAT scientific personnel operating in lab environments.
It provides 20 units worth of space for ammunition/gear but weighs only a total of 10 "mass". They offer no protection against either explosions or small arms fire.
Trivia[]
- Scientist Clothes are simply retextured Heli Pilot Coveralls but coloured entirely in flat white (with some sections in a bluish light grey).
- The uniform was not initially available in ArmA 3 upon release. It was only added following the third campaign episode as part of Game Update 1.14.[1]
- The information below details unused, pre-release or removed content.
- Though it is not referred to as such, the emblem on the uniform could possibly be a remnant of the pre-2012 storyline's Red Pegasus Engineering company.[2][3]
- RPE was intended to serve a prominent role in early versions of ArmA 3's storyline prior to the major development overhaul in 2012.
- The company was led by its CEO, General Ostad Javeed Attar, who was the superior of Colonel Vahid Namdar. Attar was sent to Limnos (the former name of Altis prior to the changes) with the task of developing a new weapon of mass destruction that could generate artificial earthquakes, while Namdar was left responsible with safeguarding the facility against intrusion by NATO forces.
