The Searchlight is a static spotlight used exclusively by East German borderguards in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Overview[]
A common sight along the border with West Germany, these Searchlights are manually-operated spotlights which project a beam of light towards any intruders attempting to scale the border walls.
The Searchlight itself serves no other purpose or function.
Trivia[]
- Searchlights in Global Mobilization are not actually static "weapons" in the conventional sense, but rather function as usable structures with the operator controlling the Searchlight from below (they are intended to be used inside guard towers like the BT11).
