The Sefrawi Freedom and Independence Army (short form: SFIA) is a REDFOR faction in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Western Sahara Creator DLC.
Overview[]
The Sefrawi Freedom and Independence Army (SFIA) is an organised paramilitary force that answers directly to the Arganan government.[1] In response to the Tura's takeover of the mineral-rich Sefrou-Ramal, the SFIA has been tasked with pacifying the Tura and reclaiming the region from the insurgents.[2][3]
Equipment[]

The SFIA's semi-arid camouflage pattern
As a state-sanctioned paramilitary force, the SFIA is directly supplied by the Arganan military. The organisation's fighters utilise a mix of commercial and military-grade personal gear/equipment. Their standard-issue combat uniform are fatigues adorned in a semi-arid camouflage pattern that may or may not feature leather gloves.
Soviet-era combat helmets are worn by most fighters like their military counterparts, though some prefer to wear turbans for comfort instead. For vehicle crews and pilots, they are given soft tanker hats and flight helmets (respectively).
Body armour is seldom available and is only issued to officers and select specialist personnel. As such, most fighters simply wear load bearing harnesses, bandoleers, and chest rigs.
