Design
The Small Car is a compact, two-door city car with a front wheel-drive configuration.
Features
True to its name, the Small Car is both compact and simple to handle.
It is easily one of the quickest ground vehicles in Cold War Assault and in spite of its size, is actually faster than the larger (and technically more powerful engine-wise) Trabant.
Mobility
It is able to easily reach a maximum speed of 120 km/h on flat roads, though the Small Car will struggle to maintain this while making sharp turns or driving off-road.
Crew Capacity
The Small Car contains enough seats for a driver and up to three passengers, who sit in the rear and front-right positions of the vehicle.
Protection
Small Cars have 10 points worth of armour plating.
Trivia
- The in-game Small Car is based on the real-world "Austin Mini" that was then-manufactured by the British Leyland Motor Corporation Ltd (prior to its acquisition by the Rover Group in 1986).
- The Small Car was not initially included as part of the default set of vehicles that could be driven in Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis (the initial release name of Cold War Assault), and was only added with the release of Patch 1.85 as part of the Resistance expansion pack.
