The Steel Helmet M56 is a ballistic-resistant helmet used by East German military forces in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Overview[]
Adopted in 1957, M56s are the standard-issue combat helmet of all East German infantry. It is a steel helmet with a chinstrap made of three shorter straps connected to form a Y-shape strap buckled to the wearer's ears.
M56s are by default painted in a flat colour, though they can also be customised with camouflaged covers and/or meshes. No matter the variant, they all share the same weight of 10 "mass" units.[CfgWp 1][CfgWp 2]
