Sultansafe is a settlement located in the central highlands of Takistan.
Overview[]
A village that lies at the base of the Silsila-ye Siah Kuh mountain range, Sultansafe is situated next to the Loy Manara oilfields. It can be accessed from the trail that breaks off from the main road, or along a smaller paved road that originates from Huzrutimam to its south-west.
During the post-intervention period, the village was known to harbour anti-government militias and supporters of the former Aziz regime.[1] Prior to their destruction at the hands of Czech special operations in early August 2012, at least one insurgent cell used the village to store weapons and to stage raids against foreign nationals.[2]

Unfamiliar terrain and a fanatical enemy tore countless of units to pieces here. International allied forces still succeeded, at least partially. They managed to establish bases and maintain a presence. Our units provided air support for special operations and infantry boys from 601. ran around down below them."
