Tactical Shades are ballistic safety glasses worn by multiple factions in ArmA 3.
Overview[]
Utilising an augmented reality module, Tactical Shades are designed to enhance the wearer's situational awareness while shielding their eyes from sunlight. There is also an alternate sub-variant with a fully transparent lens.
Regardless of lens, both variants share the same weight of 2 "mass" units.[CfgGs 1][CfgGs 2]
Camouflage[]
Trivia[]
- The augmented reality module appears to be inspired by the "Tac-Eye LT" designed by Vuzix, a multinational technology company based in the United States.[1]
- Although portrayed as such, Tactical Shades do not offer any actual augmented reality or Heads Up Display (HUD) enhancements when worn and are purely cosmetic.
- The information below details unused, pre-release or removed content.
Unused texture variants.
