Walkthrough[]

Primary 1: Go to Air Drop Location[]

As per the objective's instructions, you will need to find a suitable location both 150 metres wide and 500 metres long. Do also take into account the wind direction which is blowing south.

In addition, you need to adhere to the following terrain conditions at the drop zone:

  • None of the supplies must land on slopes that are too steep (anywhere with a sharp incline will instantly result in the crates breaking).
  • Cannot land in the middle of a forest.
  • Cannot land on top of jagged rock mounds.
  • It must not be submerged underneath water.

Of the five locations (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo), go for the drop zone at CHARLIE as it is the most consistent drop point with ideal terrain. The others are either situated too close to the sea or are in the middle of a forested canyon; less than ideal conditions for keeping the supplies intact.

Primary 2: Call Air Drop[]

Now make your way to waypoint Charlie before initiating the process. Hop into the MRAP parked in front of Adams and drive your AAF fireteam towards the drop point.

Once you've arrived, order your fireteam to dismount and to take cover behind the rocks at the top of the hill nearby (overlooking the road to their south). Transition the team to Combat status, then to a crouching stance, and finally, stand in the middle of the herded goats.

Select the Supports command and then order the drop. Direct the pilots to fly in towards the EAST.

Primary 3: Wait for Air Drop[]

Nothing to do for this objective (yet). Continue to wait for the VTOL to arrive.

Primary 4: Throw Orange Smoke[]

When the pilot is within 2.5 kilometres of the drop zone, you will receive a new objective to throw smoke to designate where the pilot will begin unloading. Aim towards the top of the hill to your west (from where you're standing in the middle of the herd) and toss a smoke grenade there.

Primary 5: Inspect All Crates[]

Once the pilot has dropped off all four crates, hop into the MRAP and move to inspect the supplies (no need for your fireteam to follow). If all had gone well, the four crates should be arrayed in a slightly crooked formation beginning from where your smoke grenade landed.

Go to each of the four circle markers and look for green smoke emitting from crates. You will need to inspect the crates containing rice, water, medicine and grain (not necessarily in that order). Refer to optional objectives 8, 9, 10 and 11.

Primary 6: Defend against Guerrilla Ambush[]

At the same time you finish inspecting your first (or second) crate, bandits will attempt to steal the supplies for themselves. You will have to deal with seven enemies in total; one armed Offroad, a second that's unarmed, and three dismounted fighters.

Your fireteam should take care of most threats from their vantage point, but if they failed to do so for whatever reason, focus on the HMG-armed Offroad and then the automatic rifleman. Once both are killed, the Offroad drivers will be easy targets while the other two dismounts can be dealt with by your allies.

Whichever option you choose to take, the objective will be marked as complete once you successfully eliminate all seven bandits.

Primary 7: Fire Flare[]

As soon as all four crates have been inspected and the guerillas fought off, you need to fire a flare into the sky to mark the completion of your airdrop. Simply load a white flare round into your grenade launcher and fire it anywhere in the air.

The objective will be finished, and a brief cutscene will show with dialogue. Memory complete!

Optional 8: Inspect Rice Sacks[]

Look for a pallet containing boxes of rice wrapped in a black net. If the landing went poorly, the boxes will be broken and spilt over the drop point.

Optional 9: Inspect Grain Sacks[]

Look for a secured pallet containing brown-coloured sacks. If they failed to land well, the sacks will be split and the pallet itself smashed.

Optional 10: Inspect Medical Crate[]

Look for an orange supply crate wrapped in netting. If the boxes are plastered all over the landing zone, then this objective will be marked as having failed.

Optional 11: Inspect Purified Water Crate[]

Look for a pallet containing neatly stacked plastic water bottles. If the pallet is in complete tatters, the bottle stacks will be strewn all over the drop point.

Tips[]

  • If your fireteam is unable to tackle the bandits, use your MRAP to run over them (their weapons cannot pierce the vehicle's armour plating).
  • As for the HMG-armed Offroad, it poses a bigger threat since its 12.7 mm heavy machine gun can eventually cut through the plating and burst its tyres.
    • Fortunately, you can fool the AI by simply parking next to it with the right side door facing the Offroad. Dismount from the left door and shoot the gunner in the head quickly. The driver will not dismount unless his vehicle has been disabled, so he's an easy target to take out once the gunner is dead.

Trivia[]

  • Should any of the goats be run over, Nathan will remark that the villagers were upset with Adams shortly after the accident.
  • Likewise, crashing and disabling the MRAP will cause Nathan to remark that Adams insisted that others drive from now on. This is a reference to the main campaigns where either Corporal Ben Kerry or Sergeant Conway are the ones who always serve as the designated driver of Adams' vehicles.
  • All of the supply pallets are "airdropped" via scripting and are not physically stored and unloaded from the Blackfish's cargo hold.
    • This is because the mission's development pre-dates the inclusion of actual object loading/unloading through the Vehicle-in-Vehicle Transportation system (introduced in Game Update 2.06).
