Tourniquets are medical items in ARMA Reforger.
Overview[]
« | A tourniquet restricts bleeding limb injuries. While it doesn't completely stop the bleeding, affects the mobility when applied to legs and accuracy when applied to arms, its usage is much faster than bandage and it is also reusable. Individual wounds can be selected in your inventory screen, otherwise the actually most serious wound is selected automatically. To use the item on others, one has to equip it (i.e. use it from an inventory quick slot), approach the injured person and use it on a specific hitzone. Field Manual

Tourniquets are reusable medical items that are designed to slow the rate of blood loss from any type of injury. Once applied, blood loss caused by a wound of any kind (gunshots, burns, blunt force, etc.) is immediately slowed down by more than 50%. Unlike bandages, Tourniquets are quick to apply and can be reused an unlimited number of times.[1][CmpIt 1][CmpIt 2]
However, because Tourniquets are meant to serve as a stop-gap measure, they can only stabilise the patient's injuries until they are able to receive proper treatment for their wounds. As a result, they do not halt blood loss completely and can only slow it down. Furthermore, Tourniquets are restricted to being applicable to a patient's limbs and can't be applied to any other part of their body.[SCR 1] Tourniquets also do not restore any lost blood, meaning that an IV bag will be needed to help the patient recover properly.[1]
Lastly, applying a Tourniquet to the patient's arms and legs will increase weapon sway and prevents them from being able to sprint or jump (respectively).[1] In both cases, the patient can choose to remove the Tourniquet from their limbs, though doing so will cause untreated wounds to resume bleeding at a normal rate.[SCR 3]
They are available in two forms:

Trivia[]
- Tourniquets did not originally exist in ARMA Reforger and were only added after the release of Update 0.9.9.47.[2]
- Update 1.2.1.169 fixed an issue that could cause duplicate regeneration effects if a Tourniquet was removed after bleeding from an open wound was stopped.[3]
