The Truck 10t mil gl is a logistics truck used exclusively by West German military forces in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Overview[]
- Roles:
- Cargo transport
- Munitions transport
- Vehicle munitions rearmament
Design[]
- This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.
Armament
The Truck 10t mil gl is always armed with a single 7.62 mm machine gun that is fitted onto the roof of the cab. It is pre-loaded with one 120-round belt box, and has access to an additional 3 belt boxes in reserve for a combined total of 480 rounds.
Features
It is available in two variants: the standard vehicle transport variant that can transport vehicles on its flatbed, and a second that can rearm nearby land vehicles and grounded aircraft.
Crew Capacity
Regardless of the flatbed's configuration, the Truck 10t mil gl only supports a crew of two that consists of the driver and a commander (who also doubles as a gunner). Only one passenger can ride inside the front cab alongside both crewmen.
Variants[]

It can carry a number of ground vehicles (both small- and medium-sized) but is unable to transport Infantry Fighting Vehicles and Main Battle Tanks. This variant can only transport a single passenger in the front cab.
Camouflage[]
NOTE: The Truck 10t mil gl has additional camouflage schemes for non-West German BLUFOR/REDFOR nations. Please note that these nations are not actually featured as playable factions in the DLC.
American[]
NOTE: Not featured as a playable faction.
Soviet[]
NOTE: Not featured as a playable faction.
West German[]
Protection[]
The Truck 10t mil gl has a base armour value of 200. It is not possible to retrofit the cab or any part of the truck with addon armour modules.
Body[]
The truck's body can withstand up to 200 points of damage before its integrity fails. It takes 150% additional damage from high-explosive (HE) type munitions. 100% of incoming damage will always be shared with the Truck 10t mil gl's main "health" pool.
Engine[]
The truck's engine is only able to take 90 points of damage before it fails. It does not take additional damage from HE-type munitions but also does not apply any damage reductions to HE-type damage sources. No damage inflicted upon the engine will be shared with the Truck 10t mil gl's main "health" pool.
Fuel tank[]
The truck's fuel tank can only withstand a maximum of 50 points of damage before it ruptures. It takes 150% increased damage from HE-type munitions. Any damage inflicted upon the fuel tank is not shared with the Truck 10t mil gl's main "health" pool.
Wheels[]
Each of the Truck 10t mil gl's wheels can take up to 100 points of damage before their tyres burst. All eight wheels incur a 400% additional damage penalty from HE-type munitions. At least 30% of incoming damage to any of the wheels will be shared with the Truck 10t mil gl's main "health" pool.
Armament[]
The commander exclusively handles the MG3 7.62 mm machine gun mounted above the cab. They must turn out and manually take control of it; the MG3 cannot be fired from within the cab:
MG3[]

Base damage value | Aerodynamic friction | Initial velocity (m/s) | Penetration depth (mm) |
---|---|---|---|
11.76 | -0.00094464 | 820 | 11.07 |
Cab roof-mounted 7.62 mm medium machine gun.
It can attain a fire rate of up to 1,200 rounds per minute and has a muzzle velocity of 820 m/s. Accuracy-wise, the MG3 has a dispersion of 0.0009599 rad. It takes at least 8 seconds to reload the MG3 with a fresh ammobox.
Manual zeroing is possible, starting from a minimum of 100 m up to a maximum of 1200 m. Adjustments are made with increments/decrements of 100 m.
Vehicle-in-Vehicle Transport[]
NOTE: The Truck 10t mil gl is capable of loading non-Global Mobilization ground vehicles and supply crates. Please note that they are deliberately excluded from this section.

Loaded with a FlKfz ELW and supply crates/pallets.
The rear flatbed is capable of loading most supply crates as well as any of the following ground vehicles:
- Seventeen Bicycles (any variant)[note 2]
- One BRDM-2
- One FlKfz 1000/U1300L
- Three K125 gls
- One SPW-40 (any variant)
- One P601 (any variant)[note 3]
- One Pkw gel. 469 (any variant)
- One Truck 0.5t tmil gl (all variants)
- One Truck 2t mil gl (any variants)[note 3]
- One Typ 247 (any variant)[note 3]
- One Typ 251 (any variant)
- One Typ 253 (any variant)[note 3]
- One Typ 1200 (any variant)[note 3]
- One UAZ 469 (either variant)
- One W123 (any variant)[note 3]
The Truck 10t mil gl can store several more types of ground vehicles compared to the smaller Truck 2t mil gl, Truck 5t mil gl and Truck 7t mil gl, though it is still unable to load any tracked/wheeled APCs and IFVs (nor tanks for that matter).
FFV[]
The front-right passenger seat and commander are both able to fire out of the truck. However, the commander must unbutton the roof hatch and stand up first in order to be able to utilise FFV (the cab passenger does not have to turn out).
Trivia[]
- Like the smaller Truck 5t mil gl, the in-game Truck 10t mil gl is also based on the real-world MAN SE "KAT1" truck family. Specifically, it is modelled after the larger 10-ton "Type 454" with an 8x8 chassis.
- The Truck 10t mil gl was previously only capable of transporting ground vehicles prior to Update 1.4 (the Ammo sub-variant did not initially exist).[1]
- Alternate camouflage schemes for U.S. and Soviet military forces were added in Update 1.5.[2]
- Whenever FFV is toggled, the front-right passenger's weapon will visibly stick out of the front windshield and right-side door window.
- Despite the contents of its flatbed only containing 155 mm artillery shells, the Ammo variant can resupply any kind of static turret, ground vehicle and aircraft even if they aren't actually using self-propelled howitzers.
- According to a Q&A published by Global Mobilization's development team[3], it is "Mondkalb's" favourite vehicle out of all the assets featured in the DLC.[4]

Notes[]
- ↑ It is technically possible to slingload Truck 10t mil gls as their models have the necessary memory points for slings to be attached. However, this is only possible if the vehicle's weight has been deliberately reduced to an acceptable threshold by using the setMass scripting command.
- ↑ Two of the Bicycles will be arranged facing sideways in order to fit within the confines of the flatbed.
- ↑ 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3 3.4 3.5 Includes dedicated military/borderguard variants.

Now I'm quite glad that in 1.4 we finally have a ten-ton truck that's slightly more useful."
