Features
Aside from the baseline Typ 1200 car, five more unique configurations are available depending on whether it is for military or civil/law enforcement usage.
For the military versions, one is exclusive to the Bundeswehr while another is used by the Royal Danish Army. The remaining three are used by West German police, firefighting brigades, and postmen.
Crew Capacity
Typ 1200s support a driver and up to three additional passengers who sit in the rear and front right seat.
Variants[]
Camouflage[]
NOTE: Typ 1200s have additional camouflage schemes for non-West German/Danish BLUFOR and REDFOR nations. Please note that these nations are not actually featured as playable factions in the DLC.
American[]
NOTE: Not featured as a playable faction.
Civilian[]
Danish[]
NOTE: Although Olive camouflage is the default colour scheme on M111s, it is not actually selectable in the Virtual Garage.
Soviet[]
NOTE: Not featured as a playable faction.
West German[]
Protection[]
Both military and civilian Typ 1200s share the same base armour values of 40. Although they are not strictly classified as civilian vehicles, it is not possible to retrofit the vehicle's body with addon armour.
Body[]
The car's body can withstand up to 40 points of damage before its integrity fails. It takes 150% additional damage from high-explosive (HE) type munitions. 100% of incoming damage will always be shared with the Typ 1200's main "health" pool.
Engine[]
The car's engine can only take a maximum of 18 points of damage. It does not take additional damage from HE-type munitions but also does not reduce HE damage either. No damage inflicted upon the engine is shared with the Typ 1200's main "health" pool.
Fuel tank[]
The car's fuel tank is only able to withstand 10 points of damage before it ruptures. It takes 150% increased damage from HE-type munitions. Damage inflicted upon the fuel tank will not be shared with the Typ 1200's main "health" pool.
Wheels[]
Each of the car's four wheels can take up to 20 points of damage before their tyres burst. They take 400% additional damage from HE-type munitions. At least 30% of incoming damage to any of the wheels will be shared with the Typ 1200's main "health" pool.
Components[]
NOTE: Only components which provide actual gameplay uses are listed. Cosmetic additions with no gameplay effects are deliberately excluded from this section.
- Add Sirenlights: Attaches a beacon to the car's roof. Enabling this component will allow the driver to turn the blue light beacon on/off. The beacon does not emit any audio even when it has been activated.
Trivia[]
- Following the release of Update 1.3, military Typ 1200s were renamed with an additional Patrol suffix to distinguish them from civilian variants.[1]
- However, their designations were changed again after Update 1.5's release. Danish Typ 1200s have since been renamed to M111 while West German ones were changed to Pkw 2.[2]
- Alternate Soviet and American military camouflage schemes were not added until Update 1.5.[2]
