The UH-60 is a medium-lift utility and transport helicopter operated by the United States Armed Forces in Armed Assault.

Information

The UH-60 is a type of transport helicopter used to transport troops into battle. It has a pilot, co-pilot, a crew chief, a door gunner and room for up to eleven troops.

It is armed with two 7.62 mm M134 miniguns mounted on the side doors for defence. The UH-60L FFAR variant replaces these miniguns with fin-folding aerial rocket launchers.

Variants

There are several variants of the UH-60.

The UH-60L variant.

The UH-60L has a crew of three: a pilot, crew chief and door gunner. The crew chief and the door gunner each use M136 7.62mm miniguns mounted on both sides of the helicopter behind the pilot. The pilot of the UH-60 sits on the right in the cockpit.

In the game it is mainly used to transport friendly troops. It sees little use in direct combat.

UH-60L FFAR

The UH-60L FFAR variant.

The UH-60L FFAR is a version of the UH-60L armed with Hydra 70 FFAR (Folding Fin Aerial Rocket) rocket pods. The crew is reduced to one, the pilot. The door miniguns have been removed to accommodate the Hydra 70 rocket pods although the cargo capacity is the same as the regular UH-60L.

It is normally used in game as a long range support platform providing support to friendly troops far away with the Hydra 70 rockets. The UH-60L FFAR is  also used to transport friendly troops when a normal UH-60L is not available.
