Armed Assault Wiki

The United Assistance (short form: UNA) is a BLUFOR faction in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Western Sahara Creator DLC.

Overview[]

The United Assistance Mission in Argana (UNMA) is an international task force that is mandated to maintain peace throughout the Sefrou-Ramal region of Argana.[1]

UNA aims to provide safe passage for non-combatants fleeing from the region, promote human rights, as well as oversee reforms to the security sector.[2] However, ever since the Tura's uprising, the UNA has been forced to recall the majority of its peacekeepers due to the escalation in violence, leaving behind only a small contingent to oversee the ongoing mission.[3]

Equipment[]

Desert tiger pattern used by the UNA

Aside from pilots who wear tan-coloured coveralls, all peacekeepers are issued combat uniforms adorned in a desert tiger camouflage pattern. Headgear and vests on the other hand, are coloured entirely in a distinct light blue scheme that signifies their protected status as peacekeepers.

For personal protection, tactical vests and milspec plate carriers, some with neck and pelvic protectors, are standard-issue amongst most peacekeepers. Headgear ranges from outdated Soviet-era steel helmets to slightly more modernised combat helmets that use aramid fibres.

Officers exclusively wear light blue berets with the UNA's insignia stitched onto it, while armoured vehicle crews and pilots wear blue tanker helmets and all-black aviation helmets, respectively.
