VR Suits are uniforms worn by BLUFOR, REDFOR and INDFOR factions, as well as with civilians in ArmA 3.
Overview[]
Designed to be used with the Vrana Corporation's Virtual Reality (VR) training simulator, it is a full body haptic feedback suit that interfaces directly with the system's VR headset.
The suit itself weighs 60 "mass". To simulate the user's ability to store an innumerable amount of objects in a virtual world, VR Suits allow for up to 500 units worth of ammunition, items, and even small firearms like pistols and submachine guns to be stored.
VR Suits do not provide any enhanced protection against explosives or small arms projectiles.
Camouflage[]
- NATO: For BLUFOR factions. Features blue colour lighting strips.
- CSAT: For REDFOR factions. Features red-coloured light strips.
- AAF: For INDFOR factions. Features green light strips.
- Civilian: For neutral/civilian factions. Features purple light strips.
All VR Suits have the same all-black colour scheme. The only difference stems from the colour of the suit's lights.
Trivia[]
- VR Suits were not initially available as part of ArmA 3's launch content and were only added after the release of the free Bootcamp Update.[1]
- Out of all the wearable uniforms in ArmA 3 (including those featured in third party-developed Creator DLCs), VR Suits have the largest storage capacity of all outfits with its maximum limit of 500 "mass".
