The Vest - NVA is a vest worn by several REDFOR and INDFOR factions in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the S.O.G. Prairie Fire Creator DLC.
Overview[]
A chest rig with adjustable shoulder and waist straps, the NVA vest is universally employed by all branches of the People's Army of Vietnam and some Viet Cong guerillas. Outside of North Vietnam, it is even standard-issue amongst Cambodian and Laotian forces.
It is available in six variants, each featuring different pouch configurations that support varying amounts of ammunition and/or equipment:
- The basic Rifle loadout with several ammunition pouches strapped to the front
- An MG loadout with two satchels hanging on both sides
- The Assault loadout, featuring rifle magazine pouches and a sheath
- The Officer loadout with a pistol holster and a binoculars container hanging from the neck
- A Medic loadout featuring a leather bag and side pouches for storing first aid supplies and medical bags
- The Sapper loadout with a wooden board containing nine hand grenades strapped to the front and a large bag/shovel

Trivia[]
- Prior to Update 1.3, the NVA vest was exclusive to REDFOR factions. The patch's introduction of the FANK faction on INDFOR would remove its exclusivity status from REDFOR.[1]
