The Vest - VPN is a vest worn by PAVN forces in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the S.O.G. Prairie Fire Creator DLC.
Overview[]
The VPN "vest" is worn primarily by Marines and sailors of the Vietnam People's Navy (VPN). Fighter and helicopter pilots of the Vietnam People's Air Force (VPAF) also wear the variants with a holster attached.
It comprises of a belt and a sheathed knife, with or without the (optional) leather holster to store a sidearm. The baseline "vest" with no holster can store 10 "mass" units worth of ammunition or items.[CfgWp 3] The variant with a holster on the other hand, can store double the capacity with a maximum of 20 "mass" units instead.[CfgWp 4]
The "vest" does not provide any protection from either small arms fire or indirect explosions.
