Overview[]
A multi-storey high-rise located in the heart of downtown Seattle, Vrana Tower overlooks the Elliott Bay to the west. The building is owned and operated by a Canada-based conglomerate, the Vrana Corporation.[1]
History[]
On August 5th, 2013[2], Vrana Tower was surrounded by activists who demanded that the Vrana Corporation do more to clean up the wreckage of the Xiamjin cargo ship that had been left partially sunk in the middle of the Puget Sound.[3] The protest briefly escalated into violence when activists clashed with the local police after a series of meetings between Vrana Corp executives and state officials.[4]
