The W123 is an executive car used by both West German military forces and borderguards, as well as with West German civilians in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Overview[]
- Roles:
- Troop transport
- Civil transportation
- Law enforcement
- Postal delivery
Design[]
- This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.
Features
It is available in up to six unique configurations depending on whether it is for military or civil/law enforcement usage (aside from the baseline W123 car).
For the military versions, one is exclusive to the Bundeswehr while another is used by borderguard patrol teams. The remaining four are used by West German firefighting brigades, police, postmen, and taxi drivers.
Crew Capacity
No matter the role or configuration, W123s support a driver and up to five passengers, one of whom is "seated" within the car's boot (trunk space).
Variants[]

Camouflage[]
NOTE: W123s have additional camouflage schemes for non-West German BLUFOR/REDFOR nations. Please note that these nations are not actually featured as playable factions in the DLC.
American[]
NOTE: Not featured as a playable faction.
Soviet[]
NOTE: Not featured as a playable faction.
West German[]
Protection[]
All variants of the W123 have a base armour value of 40. Although they are not strictly civilian-only vehicles, it is still not possible to attach any kind of addon armour onto the car's body.
Body[]
The car's body can only take a maximum of 40 points of damage. It takes 150% additional damage from high-explosive (HE) type munitions. 100% of incoming damage will be shared with car's main "health" pool.
Depletion of the body's integrity will almost always cause a catastrophic kill.
Engine[]
The car's engine can only survive up to 18 points of damage. It does not take extra damage from HE-type munitions. No damage inflicted upon the engine is shared with the W123's "health" pool.
On its own, the engine's destruction cannot cause a catastrophic kill.
Fuel tank[]
The fuel tank is only able to withstand 10 points of damage before it ruptures. It takes 150% additional damage from HE-type munitions. No damage inflicted upon the fuel tank is shared with the W123's "health" pool.
Destroying the fuel tank will not cause a catastrophic kill on its own.
Wheels[]
Each of the W123's four wheels can survive a maximum of up to 20 points of damage before their tyres burst. They take 400% increased damage from HE-type munitions. At least 30% of incoming damage to any of the wheels will be shared with the car's main "health" pool.
Components[]
NOTE: Only components which provide actual gameplay uses are listed. Cosmetic additions with no gameplay effects are deliberately excluded from this section.
- Add Beacon - Blue: Attaches a beacon to the car's roof (rear-left side of the roof). Enabling this component will allow the driver to turn the blue light beacon on/off. The beacon does not emit any audio even when it has been activated.
- Add Sirenlights - Large: Attaches two sirenlights and a loudspeaker to the car's roof. Enabling this component will allow the driver to activate the police siren.
- Add Sirenlights - Small: Attaches a single sirenlight to the car's roof. Enabling this component will allow the driver to activate the police siren.
FFV[]
Only the boot's "passenger" is able to utilise FFV. However, they must first be turned out in order to be able to fire their weapons.
Trivia[]
- The W123 and its derivatives were not originally featured at release and were only added in Update 1.5.[1]
