« Located in the northern plains of Germany, Weferlingen offers the largest Arma terrain released so far: 419 square kilometers of usable area. It's modeled after a real-world location in 1983, and uses entirely new assets – providing you with a unique experience that gives Arma 3 an entirely fresh look and feel. Explore nearly 50 fully destructible settlements in both West and East Germany, prepare your ambushes from scattered wooded areas, or have tanks battle each other at great distances on farmland – with each presenting its own major challenges.

Trivia

  • Weferlingen is the first map in the entire series to feature an alternate, winter-themed terrain on top of its baseline summer version.
    • It is also the first semi-official terrain to feature snow falling rather than rain whenever there are poor weather conditions set in the editor.
  • Excluding the Virtual Reality terrain - which isn't a "real" terrain in the conventional sense, Weferlingen is the first landlocked terrain to be featured in ArmA 3.
    • It is not however, the first official one as the Contact expansion pack would eventually include the Livonia map, which is officially considered to be ArmA 3's first foray into a proper landlocked map.
