« | The Welrod is an excellent close-range counter-insurgency weapon with very high accuracy and a very quiet integral suppressor. The Welrod single-shot pistol is chambered in 7.65x17mm, and magazines hold 8 rounds. Widely used by OSS agents during World War Two, LRRP, CIA, SOG and other Special Forces carried these uniqe pistols in Vietnam for use on missions including guard dog suppression, suppression of personnel during prisoner snatches, and assassination of target-specific military and political cadre. Overview[]
- This section is a stub. You can help Armed Assault Wiki by expanding it.
The Welrod is a manually operated pistol that uses a rotary bolt locking system with dual locking lugs. It is chambered to fire the 7.65×17 mm cartridge.
It feeds exclusively from 8-round box magazines, has a muzzle velocity of 450 m/s[CfgWp 7], and can attain a fire rate of just 60 rounds per minute[CfgWp 8][Formula 1] (not factoring in the extra time required to pull the bolt after each shot).
Welrod pistols cannot be fitted with optics nor can they be wielded simultaneously alongside a flashlight/torch. Muzzle attachments are not supported as it utilises an integral suppressor.[CfgAm 1][CfgAm 2]
Ironsights[]

The Welrod's ironsights are set to a fixed zeroing of 50 metres.[CfgWp 9] It is not possible to manually adjust its zeroing.

Notes[]
- ↑ Only applies to the magazine itself. The Welrod's weapon class uses its own initSpeed value (450 m/s).
- ↑ This is the Welrod's actual muzzle velocity. The weapon class initSpeed value (450 m/s) takes precedence over the magazine initSpeed value (280 m/s).
- ↑ Damage will be reduced if the projectile's velocity drops below this value.
- ↑ This is the actual penetration depth of the Welrod's 7.65 mm ammunition. The weapon class initSpeed value (450 m/s) takes precedence over the magazine initSpeed value (280 m/s), affecting its penetration formula as a result.
