The wz.83 Pallad-D is a 40 mm grenade launcher used exclusively by Polish military forces in ArmA 3. It was added with the release of the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC.
Overview[]
The wz.83 Pallad-D is a breech-loaded, single-shot, break action grenade launcher capable of firing 40 mm grenades. In this standalone configuration, it uses a wire stock and pistol grip.
It can only load and fire a single 40 mm grenade round at a time. The Pallad-D is unable to mount optical sights, and uses a simple notched quadrant sight which can be zeroed up to a maximum of 450 metres (rising in 50 metre increments).
Analogous to its West German-made counterpart, the GraPi, the Pallad-D is all but identical when it comes to both performance and role. Like the GraPi, it requires sacrificing the user's primary weapon in exchange but works extremely well as a force multiplier. In the right hands, the Pallad-D can easily mop up entire infantry squads with a few well-placed rounds, regardless of whether they're out in the open or taking cover behind defilade.
Compared to the GraPi, the Pallad-D's advantages stem from its greater maximum range of 450 metres rather than 350 and being just slightly lighter to wield. However, both of these factors are mostly negligible given the Pallad-D's use cases, as it is not usually employed for point targets beyond 400 metres. The sights are also quite awkward to aim with and are not particularly accurate against targets located further than 200 metres away.
Sights[]

The wz.83's quadrant sight can be manually zeroed starting at a minimum of 100 metres up to a maximum of 450 metres (100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450). By default, it is set to a zeroing of 150 metres.

Trivia[]
- The Pallad-D's wire stock will automatically fold when not in use.
- Prior to Update 1.3.5647, the Pallad-D was uniquely capable of being zeroed starting at 0 metres rather than 25, 50 or 100.[1]
- It was not initially included as part of Global Mobilization's launch content and would only be added alongside the release of Update 1.3.[2]
